graduating with honors?

Will graduation in an honors program help get into med school or get a job at all as opposed to graduation without?

I am an undergrad so I don’t know from experience, but on the two info sessions I went to for different honors notations at my school that’s what they advertised.

The best answer is “sure, but not by very much”. There are 3000 U’s in this country and probably most of them have an honors program. In fact, many U’s have several. There are department honors, college honors, etc. To think that employers or med schools have the time & inclination to keep track of what it entails at each U is to kid yourself. So when a transcript shows up that says “honors” it probably looks better than those from the same college w/o the stamp, but thats about it. There are some well-known honors programs such as the one at UT-Austin that may carry a bit more weight.
