So my daughter would most likely have to graduate with about $52,000 of financial aid assuming she graduates in 4 years. She’ll be a student of SI Newhouse, which obviously has an amazing reputation. Does it seem worth it to shell out the cash now and hope it will pay out in the future because of SU’s reputaion?

lmodmod - your daughter is going to have $52,000 in loans when she graduates? Is that what you meant by $52,000 in financial aid? I’m a little confused by your post but if you mean that she is indeed graduating $52,000 in the hole, I think that is excessive in this economy even for New House and I love Syracuse! Hopefully this idea of student loan forgiveness will come to fruition and none of our kids will have to worry!
