Graduation photo packages

By all reviews the company Yale has chosen for senior portraits is terrible. Has anyone had experience with Lauren Studios and if so was the economy finnish decent or must one splurge for the special finishing? Their reputation is so bad that I neither want to risk their low cost package nor fall for their “high” end one. Thank you.

Neither my son, nor any of friends friends opted to take senior portraits – and that worked out just fine, as there were many opportunities for parents and friends to take pictures during the graduation ceremony held at each college.

We did buy (one) photo of DD getting her diploma at her RC; I don’t recall it being ridiculously expensive in the grand scheme of things. But no “formal” photos in the tradition of HS graduation photos.

Lauren has been around for forever. My parents both had their senior pics done by them back in 1966. I suspect that it is just a traditional local company that they use.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks for asking the question. I was wondering about this too.

I had my son get his portrait taken so it would be in the yearbook if he wanted to buy one. (Here we are in Oct. and it still hasn’t arrived, but that is another story…) Did not purchase the portraits, and took lots of pix at commencement, as Gibby mentioned above.

Btw, the company taking senior portraits for Yale is Lauren (or at least it was billed by Lauren in the credit card statement).
