Graduation present- teacher.

I don’t even remember what we got D when she graduated college- I think it was an iPod that she doesn’t have anymore.
But she will be graduating in the spring with a masters in teaching degree and since she has been working full time in the classroom as part of her program, the only thing I think of is an Amazon or Powells gift certificate, she is always buying books!

Here are a couple of quick thoughts…

some sort of personalized briefcase/bookbag…to use in carrying her stuff back and forth to school…

a really good watch, cause she will need to keep track of time…also a nice way to mark this time in her life…have it engraved?

I think of teachers as on their feet all day long…a wonderful new pair of shoes…stylish yet comfy? or gift certificate to a great shoe store in your area…dansk clogs or other such comparable shoe…

a special and yet unique bookcase? there are many wonderful woodworkers in our area and I suspect in yours also…or even an unfinished one that you custom paint or stain for her…

a custom embosser with her initials for her to mark her books or kids papers etc…I was gifted with one when I left our local library board…still think it was a great gift…

nice sunglasses because her future is so bright?

great slippers for when she comes home at the end of a long day? LL Bean has wonderful “wicked good slippers” made with Shearling…

congrats on her vocation…well done…

So many great ideas thanks!

A membership to Beer of the Month club? Believe she would thank you every Friday afternoon! (very tongue in cheek of course)

My husband is very fond of the wooden rocking chair that his mother bought him as graduation gift. He had been shopping with her in a furniture store and sat down and liked it. So she said, “Good - that can be your graduation gift”. She has since passed away, but the chair we will always keep with us.
