Graduation Slideshow Music Suggestions?

sseamom—are there now photo books that play music? I tend to stick with what I know and have been using My Publisher albums for the past eight years, so haven’t checked the market for anything new. Am intrigued if you can add a music chip.

Oh, sorry, no, I just printed the words out on the final page. If ever a song defined who D is, that is the one.

Thanks! I was picturing something like those birthday cards that play music when opened but figured that customization would make the item expensive.

But I bet you could put in something similar to the things in the cards on your own once you had the finished product. My S made one for an invention he was working on-the parts are available at Radio Shack. You could place it so that when she opens the photo book, the song plays.

Oh no! Did I pick a depressing song?

I told my nephew to use Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s mix of Somewhere Over the Rainbow/ What a Wonderful World in my daughter’s slideshow. I thought Somewhere Over the Rainbow was a happy song, but someone told me it’s depressing.

At least one other person here recommended each of those songs for a graduation slideshow. What do you think? Should I change it?

For a small town girl, if she likes a bit of a country sound “Who I Am” by Jessica Andrews or “The House that Built Me” by Miranda Lambert. Both my DD’s used these in their Senior recitals. Maybe “Breakaway” by Kelly Clarkson.

I agree with “For Good” from Wicked. Also:

“Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen.

“Wide Open Spaces” by the Dixie Chicks

“In My Life” the Beatles

“Right Now” Van Halen

Check my post (#24)- we had nearly half the crowd at my son’s graduation party with tears in their eyes!

How about “My Way” by Frank Sinatra?

Psychodad…those are great songs, but they just didn’t fit my dd. We used the green day song in my son’s slideshow, or I’d definitely use that one again.

HI Mom…for the last song in the slideshow, we gave my nephew 3 choices and told him to surprise us. My Way was one of them. DD is a Sinatra fan.

See my post #38. The slideshow has been made, but it’s not too late for me to change up one of the songs. What I’m wondering is IF I need to do that. Is the Somewhere Over the Rainbow part of that mixed song too depressing?
