Having a particularly good view of the ocean, the tourists chose the hotel to be their home base for the duration of their holiday.

(A) Having a particularly good view of the ocean, the tourists chose the hotel
(B) Having a particularly good view of the ocean, the hotel was chosen by the tourists
(C) Because its view of the ocean was particularly good, the tourists chose the hotel
(D) The hotels particularly good view of the ocean led to its choice by the tourists
(E) The tourists chose the hotel, because it had a particularly good view of the ocean

Sparknotes says that the answer is (C), but I chose (B). Could someone please explain why (C) is correct? It seems to me that the “its” and “tourists” don’t match in (C). Thanks in advance!
