I will be taking the SAT in a week and this weekend will be the last weekend I do any practice questions. I came across a couple of grammar issues that I wanted to address:
- What tense follows “Until recently”, or “By 1976”?
- What should I do this final week to prepare?
- What are some hard math questions that tend to appear on the SAT? I’m pretty good with math - usually scoring around 800 - but I’ve had a couple of hiccups in which I missed a question or two because of time restraints or unusual questions.
- What’s your number one tip for sentence completion in CR? I’ve tried to memorize as much vocab as possible, but to no avail as I am still hit with foreign vocabulary…
- What’s your number one tip for the actual passages in CR? I got a huge boost when I realized that every answer is and can be supported by lines directly from the text. Now, I’m having trouble doing “main idea” or “tone” questions.
- When the questions ask you for the best meaning of a word, does that “best meaning” usually exist as part of the word’s ordinary definition? </p>
