<p>I was wondering if anyone knew the standard grammar book to use for writing sections.
"standard" as is Direct Hits for the critical reading section.</p>

<p>Side Note: I am sure this question has been asked before, but I could not find it through searching.</p>

<p>Rocket Review is typically the CC "standard."</p>

<p>Direct Hits isn't standard for all of CR, just vocab.</p>

<p>For CR/Writing, check out RR, Grammatix or Sparknotes' Seven Deadly Errors (google it)</p>

<p>Do I have to buy the rocket review book for the grammar sections or is there a free, legal, online version? (I believe the rr word list is online for free)</p>

<p>I don't think there's a free version online. I'd recommend seeing if your library has any available copies.</p>
