Grants/CV question

Hi all,

If a student proposes an idea and a professor uses that idea to apply for and receives a grant without the student as a co-applicant, can the student put this grant award in their CV?

If that is possible, is there a specific format and section to put it in? (personally I have never seen such a thing)

Also, what are the possibilities of amending the grant to include the student’s name. Is this inappropriate and not recommended or should the student approach the professor about it? In a related question, can grants actually be amended for co-investigators even when the project has concluded?

Thanks for the help! Much appreciated.

Basically no to all accounts. If it was your idea, you might want to get involved and try to get a publication out of it.
