Looking for info on graphic design programs for a kid who will be coming from a Community College after this year. He will have his associate’s degree. He is one of the most personable kids I know, with strengths in the interpersonal and creative realms as opposed to the booksmart.

It depends if he will have a good portfolio. If the answer is yes, he should consider schools such as:

1 Mass Art
2. RISD
3. UMass Dartmouth
4. MICA
5. SVA
6. Pratt Institute
7. Syracuse University
8. RIT
9. Carnegie Mellon ( but very hard to get into as a transfer)
One surprisingly good design school that also doesn’t require a portfolio would be University of Cincinnati.
10. Towson University and UMBC, both in Maryland, have graphic design programs.
11. Savannah College of Art and Design
