Hello everyone,
I’m applying for UMD for the Spring semester as a first time freshman.
I will major in biological sciences: cell biology and genetics, and I will take the pre-med track.

What type of graphing calculator will I need? TI-83? TI-84 silver edition?

Thank you. I will be waiting for your answer.

83 should be fine. You’ll need to do some basic calculations and maybe graph a few results in labs, but not much. A calculator is almost never allowed on a test. I literally did not touch my calculator at all last year… until I was calculating my own grades before finals to see how well I needed to do. You’ll be fine with any old graphing calculator.
