GRE... any other options?

<p>I am considering taking GRE subject test as a supplement of MIT application.
Is there any other test for those entering graduate school???</p>

<p>i don’t think they’re are, but don’t worry though you can do it. i know this is a cliche` but you can do anything that you set your mind to.</p>

<p>Are you going for MBA? Law degree? Or just for your MA or MS? Whatever degree you are going to get corrseponds to what test you should take.</p>

<p>I do not know if I am going too far.

  1. I am an international
  2. I do not have national/international olympiads, since I regard competitions as… tools for admission, not better than tests. In Poland there is only one biology competition. Based on memorising taxonomy and botany/zoology as well as thinking, and molecular biology. With my knowledge of the latter I can be 11th in state, and one of the best in country in age group. Yet, it is not enough for MIT.
  3. In Poland there is no college courses for high school/lower secondary school students. [However I did some… ]. Hence I started to teach myself college biology in age of 14-15. Now I am able to take GRE tests and score quite high. So why not?
  4. My grades are not perfect [roughly 3/6 in languages, 6/6 in science, but 4/6 in maths [IIC - 790, IC - 770 btw], 5-6 in other subjects].
  5. I have little research, since once again there is little widespread of it in Poland. I did some nice research but it had not some nice topic as those of kids here, that have internships in molecular biology. Sigh.

<p>I am very determined. GRE test is nothing if I get to MIT labs.
I was just deffered from Princeton, hence I am trying to get allowement for taking exams from head of Warsaw University [Simply, high schoolers do not take them in Poland, so I need some special cases, laws, allowements etc. ].
And well I cannot go to worse university because of limited Financial aid for internationals… I cannot depend on my parents, and take from them most of salary only for myself!</p>

<p>I do not know if I am going to far. But I certainly won’t wait until I will lost motivation.</p>
