Hi everyone! I really need your opinions and tips on this one.

Does GRE even matter in the process of Master of Architecture application? Will a high score give me much advantage?

I’m a senior major in finance, but have always loved design and architecture. I didn’t realize that there are options for students without a B.Arch to take on the M.Arch until well into this semester. I have to admit my experience with architecture is quite limited. But my reasoning is that if the schools set up program that doesn’t require a B.Arch, they should expect too much prior experience with architecture from the applicants, right?

So right now I’m working my ass off building up my portfolio, but things like can’t be rushed, so I wouldn’t expect my portfolio to be great. As for recommendations, I’ve got pretty good ones in finance, but they can only comment on general academic abilities, not much specifically related to architecture.

What do you think my chances are to get into an acceptably good M.Arch program? Will a very high GRE score help much?

thanks a lot!
