GRE scoring scheme?

<p>I can’t find anything on how the GRE is scored…</p>

<p>Is it out of 2400? Or do people get a quantitative comparison + verbal score out of 1600 and a separate writing score?</p>

<p>Yes – quantitative and verbal are each out of 800 (in 10-point increments), and the writing score is given out of 6.0 (in 0.5 point increments).</p>

<p>i think they had another section that was out of 800 instead of writing before and that’s where you got that 2400 score.</p>

<p>but it’s 6.0 now</p>
