which ones harder?
i haven’t given SAT but taken few pratice test for my GRE preparation
i think its tougher than GRE
i took gre and scored 1490 (700+790)
i am international student and i could have no way got closer to that score in SAT
why would ETS make GRE easier than undergraduate aptitute test (SAT)
that doesnt make sense at all
what are you veiws and what were your SAT score
lets compare.

SAT is definitely easier.

agreed…but what did you get on the AWA section? that section sort of targets international students…you can memorize words for verbal, but AWA shows if you truly own the language.

and then again…i feel like the whole gre is pretty arbitrary.

ya
gre is quite arbitrary
but how come AWA envisage you performace at graduate school
what if i got 5.0 in AWA and flunked all the graduate subjects?

Yes and it’s very easily gamed. The OP seems like pretty good evidence of that.

what i meant was…AWA is more representative of your ability to coherently discuss a subject. you can memorize words and formulas for verbal and quant…but you have to know how to formulate and argument and sustain clarity on AWA.

there is no true gauge for grad performance. that’s why schools want recommendations, gre scores, gpas, and applications. it’s the whole package.
