Great big flakes of SNOW!!!

And me, out of cat food, which means I MUST go to the store. Fortunately, the snow is sticking only to everything except the roads!

owlice - I have to go to the pet store because we are out of cat food, too! Luckily, we don’t have snow. We only have black ice. I think I’ll wait another hour or two until the roads warm up a bit.

I think cats should learn to adapt to whatever we have in our pantry. Especially when there is black ice!!!

I got an ad for Visa Black Card at the top of my screen! LOL!

Oh, you two (and the ad, too!)!! Funny!!!

If I didn’t feed ferals, you can bet my cats would be making do! I can’t afford to give all the outdoor beasties what’s left of the canned food and/or tuna, though, so off I’ll go in a bit!

It’s snowing like crazy here and it’s beautiful!

Good luck going to the store, Owlice. Have a safe trip and beware of the “bread, milk and toilet paper” crowd. I’m sure they are out in force.

It’s very pretty here. Grass already has a nice coating of snow. It’s sure prettier than the dreary brown/grey combo we’ve been living with. It will all melt tomorrow when it goes up to 40.

The milk/bread/TP crowd was out in force earlier today. By the time I got to the store, there were few people there. Got my cat food and got out! Went to visit my mother in the hospital (ailment: old age), and while driving home on the Beltway in the snow, thought, “I wonder how bike riding while it’s snowing would be?” One of these days I’m going to find out, but not today (dang it!).

The snow has stopped here. Surely was pretty while it was falling!

Got my cat food, too. The pet store was a real zoo: there were little purebred dogs for adoption, pet Santa pictures, Cat Oasis… On the way to the store, I saw a car in the ditch near the spot where the road always gets slippery! So far, so good. But Jeff Renner mentioned the “S” word - Snow in Seattle is a disaster.

Bikes + snow =NO BREAKS! Yeee…ha!

Just stopped snowing. It’s dusk and the fire place is on and the room is nice and cozy. Husband just got back from playing 18. Wishes he he had an orange golf ball the last few holes!

owlice you should see the pictures of S1 riding his bike in our back field in about 4 feet of snow. The best part was when he tried to ramp up a snow drift. He went in right up to his neck. No human injuries, but lets just say he was glad he was riding his goodwill beater bike.

We have light flakes here (first of the season) but nothing is sticking. The baby goats are hypmotized.

Big fat flakes here, sticking to grass, tree limbs, falling in lumps from above. Perfect day for holiday decorating and sitting on the sofa and e-shopping.

Owlice…milk/bread/TP…sounds like the Marylander’s Mantra.

I’d feed the cat albacore before I’d drive in this.

pumpkin, if it was only the two cats I claim as mine, I’d do the same! But years ago, I started feeding a very decrepit feral cat, and though he has long since disappeared (dead by now, I’m sure :(), other cats heard about the chow line here, and … well… I’m still feeding a very decrepit feral cat (who smells, I swear, as though he is rotting and who fathered one of the two cats I claim as mine), a sweet-faced tabby (who was friendly with the first decrepit feral cat), an all-black cat (the sworn enemy, apparently, of the decrepit feral cat’s offspring who I claim as mine), and occasionally, another all-black cat.

Not to mention the six baby raccoons, mean-tempered opossums, and who knows what else out there.

So cat chow had to be procured, because it’s cheaper than albacore!!

And yes, you know it, the milk/bread/TP Marylander Snow Cry!

Beautiful snow here in PA. I happily defrosted a big container of soup and we are relaxing tonite. For those who didn’t see my post on another thread - I am home with DH with his new defibrillator implanted. What more could I ask for? We are so blessed.

Another Marylander here! It was so beautiful this morning. Couldn’t find my ice scraper so I used my broom. And then carried the darn thing in the truck in case I needed it again. Better than riding on a broom, I guess.

It’s beautiful in Nj. We were suppose to go to a party tonight, but decided not to go because of the snow. As soon as I cancelled it I started feeling ill - fever and killer stomach ache. Those guests were lucky we didn’t go because of the snow. I seem to be feeling better now. I hope it’s a stomach virus and not the flu.

Feel better, Oldfort!

There are “snow tires” for bikes! We got a foot of snow yesterday. It was wet and heavy, but the snow did finally put me in the “holiday mood.” I cannot ever imagine myself somehwere for the holidays where there is no snow. Years ago we had a sixty degree no snow Christmas and it just didn’t feel like the holidays. It is funny how when it finally snows you’re scrambling around looking for the boots, the scraper and all the winter essentials…not like we don’t know it’s coming!

Southern California = no pretty snow :(.
