Has anyone ever read Non Campus Mentis or English As She is Spoke?
The former I have had for a few years now, but the latter I just got and both of these books are in a class of their own… These are not the kind of books that you read from front to back, but the random page turners… Non Campus Mentis is a book with quotes from real college student papers and English As She is Spoke is a 150 year old book that was originally created by two Portugese men who wanted a Prt.-Eng. dictionary, but the only things that they could find were a Prt.-French dictionary and a Fr.-Eng. dictionary…
Two highly recommended books!
From NCM: “Yorktown was sight of Robert E. Lee’s greatest victory. Washington defeated the Allies at Gettysberg. He was the first and only president to be elected anonymously by the Electoral College. Thomas Jefferson was president, founder of the University of Virginia, and author of the Decoration of Independence.”
From EASIS: “Casar seing one day to Roma, some strangers very riches, which bore between hir arms little dogs and little monkeies and who was carressign them too tenderly, was asking, with so many great deal reason; whether the women of her country don’t had some children?”
