<p>Thank you SO much. I’m close to purchasing tickets for myself to go visit my daughter. Checked fares last week and they were closer to $700-$750; British Airways now has them for $582 RT!</p>

<p>teri- you’re right! The person who told me about the sale said it was round trip, which seemed to good to be true and I guess it was!</p>
<p>The only problem with Europe right now is that the dollar has dropped in value so much versus the Euro that hotels and food are much more expensive than they once were. I was very recently on two different trips to Europe (one business, one a long a weekend vacation) and we were startled by how little purchasing power our U.S. dollars had.</p>
<p>sallyawp - you’re right Europe is expensive right now due to the dollar drop, but there are ways around expensive hotels and eating at restaurants. I have been a huge fan of renting studio apartments (via the web) for the last 4 years now, and have had wonderful success. My aunt even rented a 1 bedroom apt in Paris for 16 days at 1/3 the cost of a budget hotel. She had all the comforts of home, and loved the experience. I usually use vrbo.com (Vacation Rental By Owner), but have also had success with craigslist.</p>
