Great news

D had her beautiful baby boy last Saturday B’H. I managed to arrive about an hour before the delivery. I will NEVER reserve a car with Alamo again. There I was, anxious to drive the hour from Seattle to Olympia, and Alamo gave me a car in space Q11, and the space was vacant. I won’t go into the resolution; at least I got to the hospital in time.

We could not get a mohel to do a bris in Olympia on Saturday. The mohel I had contacted said he did only local brises in Seattle on Shabbos. We thought we could get him a hotel room Friday night and the bris could be in a hotel meeting room the next day.

So we are resorting to Plan B: DH will perform the bris— he has done thousands of circumcisions over the past 30+ years—he did two of our three sons-- and although we wanted to have a mohel, we feel this is the next best option. We are not moving everyone to Seattle for a weekend just so a mohel can perform the bris.

DH just woke me up with the most fabulous news— son #2 on R&R from Iraq has landed in Dallas and will be able to attend the bris. He is going to San Francisco where he lived previously and then flying to Seattle tomorrow afternoon.

DH has arranged for the three great-grandparents to fly into SEA about the same time as he does so he can drive everyone to Olympia. Everyone knew that son #2 was coming this week but no one knew when. He is not telling them S is coming–they will see him at the Alaska baggage claim!

I’m glad no one has a heart condition.

mazal tov~~~~~~~~

Congratulations on all of the fabulous news!

How wonderful! What is his name? How is your D?

Congrats on the baby and also on having your S home from Iraq for a brief but joyous respite.

What a wonderful, multi-generational welcome for your grandson. Congratulations.

Mazel tov! May he be blessed with Torah, simcha, love and may you live to see him under the chuppah.
