Great Professors? Amazing Classes?

Current students:

Have you had a professor whom you would recommend? (because of his/her level of expertise, amazingness, willingness to help students, or whatever) Why?

Any must-take classes/FYS? Why?

**Also, any professor/class that you most definitely don't recommend? Why?

Thanks!

Here are my recommendations

Chemistry:
Austell- Teaches general chem, analytical chem, and organic.
Kropp- Teaches organic.
Tiani- Teaches general chem and analytical chem.
Jorgenson- Teaches analytical chem.

Psychology:
Lowman-Teaches honors abnormal psych, personality, and evolutionary psych.
Thomson- Teaches biopsych.

Pretty much all of these teachers are amazing for all of the reasons you mentioned in your post. If you can take a class with them, do it!

I love Todd Austell (he is super hard but so funny), but the vast majority of people I know HATE Tiani - he has the reputation of making people cry. A lot. I've also heard questionable things about Kropp and Jorgenson, but the Chemistry department is incredibly tough in general, so there you go.
