Most not-so-good & not-so-famous LACs are good safeties…

… just not financially.

b@r!um, you hit the nail on the head there! Most not so good & not so famous LAC’s usually don’t or almost always don’t provide decent financial aid to international students. That’s why finally finding a decent college that provides good fin aid after much searching is akin to unearthing a gem. It’s a pity a majority of the US colleges are mostly apathetic to international applicants fin aid wise:(

Grinnelllllll

grinnel a safety??? get out of your dream…

‘Get out of your dream’

That’s a new expression! lol

I go to grinnell. i know how easy it is.

Does grinnell give almost full aid?

Grinnell’s supposed to be on the more generous side

Why would you even APPLY to BYU if you weren’t Mormon? It’d be VERY uncomfortable.

Because quite a few people I know have gone there and they tell me its a great place to study (the Business school esp.) if you can live with those insanely stringent rules.

Grinnell gives many many half aids and some full aids. It is the richest LAC, and there is a huge international population. Great safety school if you are a strong candidate.

some full aids… how many do you mean?.. did you get full aid? what were your stats?

i got full aid with mediocre stats, nothing compared to the stats you see here on CC. i applied to grinnell because it doesn’t ask for app fee and got a full ride. well…

“go back to your cou, ntry” …- that’s not gonna happen b/c there are uw, psu, osu, ssu and etc FTW

tinytony- where are you from?

Hey tinytony, that’s nice - some hope to all the nervous intl 2012s out here!
