Great school but Admissions should accomodate students REGISTERED for tours first

WHat a terrific school

and
the Admissions did a horrible job handling the crowds on Friday.

Why register–when literally hundreds of unregistered kids and parents show up! The supplies of info packets and coursebooks ran out twice!
and
later the engineering tour was a joke. You can’t tour engineering labs etc with 400 people!

This isn’t about “being flexible” etc…
its about consideration…kids who planned, registered and show up–who don’t have the tour as it was designed to be given --because Admissions is willing to “accomodate” hundreds of kids-parents who just show up!

Pulllease…if a kid can’t register for a prospective student tour–so AdCom can have materials etc—then are they Columbia material?!

We registered in plenty of time…and never even got the materials they were handing out…

Is there a point to this thread? Are you just posting to b—h or are you looking for materials? If the former, get over it. If the latter, call/email the adcoms and ask for them to be sent to you (or just look on the website for whatever info you need).

I’d just like to point out that with that attitude, you will have a tough time getting admitted.
