Great to see Denard and other athletes graduate--and meet Twitter CEO

Michigan is known for awesome sports teams, but athletes who stay with the program graduate on to bigger and better things. Here are seniors from the football team meeting the commencement speaker Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, a Michigan alum. You can see Denard Robinson on the right:

I was impressed with Devin Gardner graduating a trimester early. He will be a graduate student next year.

I was impressed that Denard Robinson missed a few days of his Jacksonville Jaguars rookie camp to return to Michigan to graduate. He said it was really important to him because he’s the first in his family to earn a 4-year degree, and he wanted to attend his graduation ceremony to be a role model for his nieces and nephews, to show them it’s really possible to graduate from college and make something better of your life; 35 members of his family (including, I assume, some of his nieces and nephews) attended his graduation. He’s just such a great young man, with great values. Makes me proud to be a Michigan Man.
