hey, does anyone know if getting deferred EA will increase chances of RD acceptance? or is there a lesser chance?

lesser. i think the stats are 18-27% of deferred applicants accepted, compared to a 36% acceptance rate RD.

Sucks to be us.

All ED/EA school can be thought of this way: “If they don’t like someone the first time, why would they like them the second time?”

Remember that there’s a lot you can do if you’re deferred. Many deferrees are rejected because they give up and wait for a decision in March.

but arent EA applicants in a more competitive pool?

what can i do? send in an updated resume? i havent done much in the past 2 months though… ahh!!
