<p>Does anyone know how strong a presence the fraternities and sororities are on campus? What percentage of the student body are in the Greek system?</p>
<p>I would guess its about a 10% presence
Its there, but if you arent affiliated I dont think it makes a difference in your social life (at least it hasn’t for my S)
Its a little different than at “northern” schools,alot of the greek scene seems to be legacy driven (as in my daddy was a — and so was my grandad,etc)
One major difference is that frat parties are “closed” affairs unlike at D’s undergrad insitution (ASU) where frat hopping for parties on the weekends was a big part of social life.
Frat members are present in large #'s in Student Goverment positions, but I think thats common.</p>
