Greek life

Hi, so I rushed a sorority freshman year and did not get a bid to start with at all. So now as a sophomore should I rush the same sorority, or a different one this time ??!

Usually during rush you want to expose yourself to much more than just one house. Setting your sights on one and only one is only going to hurt you more if you don’t get a bid and have no other options. Some people find that their second choice house quickly becomes their favorite anyways. Expand your options and check out the same one as well as the other houses.

Anyways, I like fraternity rush more.

We could only rush one sorority at my school we do it a little differently than other schools

Joining a secret society with no money or power that everyone knows about is important:

“Data shows that men who were members of fraternities have significantly lower end-of-first-year reading comprehension, mathematics, critical thinking, and composite achievement than their peers who were not affiliated with a Greek organization. Sorority membership also had a negative effect on cognitive development.”

I would really research the decision if you can only rush one. If the sorority you rushed in the past is the only one you feel compatible with, try again. But if you think you like another one, I would go with that.
