<p>"To all new and initiated members of the Panhellenic Council,</p>

<p>We are writing to express our collective discontent with [Blank] decision to
host their annual Pledge Party this Saturday, March 10th. We do not support the
attendance of this event by any members of the Panhellenic Council, whether the
members are: initiated, newly initiated, or uninitiated. Despite the categorization of this
gathering as a ‘dry event’…
The IFC chapters are required to follow the same stringent guidelines as our
chapters in the PHC; no drinking with new members at any point before April 1, 2012,
but are often found to ignore these rules without repercussions. As the leaders of our
council, we see a responsibility to inform you that by choosing to attend this event you
are openly supporting the breach of the above policies. As such, you should be prepared
to face the consequences, both individually and for your chapter, should [Blank] be
found responsible for this blatant disregard for the aforementioned terms of recognition.</p>

<p>Regards,</p>

<p>Bottom Line: I wouldn’t come to Cornell if your trying to have fun.</p>

<p>Who knew a dry party would cause so much trouble?</p>

<p>Frat parties are far from the only way to have fun here… but it’s true that many people here indulge in those parties and imo they shouldn’t try to stop it since it’s the students’ choice</p>

<p>8 week “dry” period = no fun? That’s dumb we all know it’s not actually followed by anyone</p>

<p>A dry party at Cornell is almost always bound to be a failure since almost every partying student here only goes for the alcohol. Whatever else happens aren’t primary or overt motives.</p>
