I am applying for Greenwich Academy’s Upper School and got 79th percentile on the SSAT. Would that be good enough to possibly get in? If it helps to answer my question, I got 91st on math, 77th on verbal and 46th on reading.
Your reading score might be a problem. It’s low. and since you’ll be doing a to of reading it could be a red flag for some schools. Why not take the SSAT again and study the reading? Most schools super score the SSAT so really nothing to lose. Some on CC will say don’t bother, but you are going up against kids who are at least in the 80s on every section. It’s up to you how you want to spend your time, but you’re worried about it or you wouldn’t have posted. I say book an online test in the next couple of weeks and slam the practice questions. and work on that essay. Many schools think that the SSAT writing sample is your most important because it’s the only one that hasn’t been edited by adults. It’s a true sample of how you write. Good luck to you!
