where can these grids be found

What grids? If you mean the admissions grids, go to the [Official Guide](<a href=“Search for Law Schools – LSAC Official Guide | The Law School Admission Council”>http://officialguide.lsac.org/) and click on “law school description” on each school’s page. Many schools don’t provide any data, though.

If you mean the grids for the college you attend/-ed, you usually can get them at the career services center (or whatever the name is at your college). Some colleges post them on line; most do not.

Most colleges have pre-law advisers. You make an appointment or stop by the office to see the grids. Again, some colleges won’t let you photocopy them. Some will only show you portions–the stats for the particular law schools of interest to you or the protion of the grids relevant to you by gpa or LSAT score.

IMO, these are very helpful to students in assessing their chances. They show the results of applications from your college–median gpa and LSAT of students accepted to/matriculated at the most popular law schools at your college.

As an example, here is a link to Berkeley’s, which is the only one I know that includes info re the mumber of URMs in the applicant group and publicly posts the information. (There may be a gazillion more; I just do mean that this is the only one I personally have seen that does this.)
