I am currently applying to Groton. Earlier in the year, they said they could not do a skype interview. Now that I have submitted my application, they said something along the lines of “upon reviewing your application, we would like to speak with you”
Has anyone else had this happen to them? If not, is this good or bad?
I have no experience with this particular circumstance, but I would view it as a mildly positive sign. It’s certainly no guarantee of admission, but if they were going to quickly reject your application, there would seem to be no need to reach out for an interview.
I’d agree. But other than that, read nothing into it. Assume that the applications fall into a bell curve, with a small percentage being auto-rejects and a small percentage being auto-accepts, but a good chunk fall into the middle. So you’re probably not an auto-reject, but there is still a lot of competition. Good luck.
