where do i start?! in general, i HATE it when teachers are like “to be fair guys, we have to randomly choose groups.” how is that fair? those are usually the classes i have with idiots. i nearly always end up working with the people who dont care what they turn in. at least when im in a group i chose i dont end up redoing the entire thing.
GAH! now i feel better.
.-_-.

I hate working with friends. I like working with acquintances where I can talk business and be stern and furious and bossy. (you cant do that wit friends!!).
In bio, I let my friend copy a portion of my project, with my agreement that she can adjust the numbers and data… (she was going through a parental divorce, deaths of family members, etc…)…
But she forgot to change the numbers and we ended up the exact same data. In the end, because of plagerism, she failed, I failed. Because I supported this plagerism And I couldnt get angry at my bestfriend - she was asking for forgiveness like 2 billion times a day!

God bless you for making this thread.

Group Porjects are the absolute WORST thing in school. This past year (eighth grade) we had a social studies teacher who had us do three group projects that counted as two test grades. I got paired with two of the laziest people on Earth and one who tried but got off task. We were supposed to do a power point, index cards for the power point, research paper, collage, and an artwork. I ended up doing the power point, index cards, research paper, and artwork. The collage had pictures that were from the incorrect colonies, and was completely done wrong. I am a sort of pefectionist when it comes to my grades, so I was FURIOUS beyond belief. We got into verbal fights, and the teacher just told me to kind of deal with it. I don’t blame her, its not her fault. But anyways, we were able to complain about our people on a paper and stuff, and I let all my anger out on it. My teacher thought it was so funny (and now I think about it, it really was). I got a 91% for personal, and a 92% overall project. That is not up to my standards, but oh well, it was better then it oculd have been. Group projects need to be done away with for people like me who actually care about their grade, and can’t stand it when their grade is in the hands of others.

first of all…some classes are required for graduation and you cant help who you get stuck with.

My worst group project was in health sophmore year when we were randomly paired into groups of four. Each person was specifically assigned a different type of disease and they had to make a pamphlet about it and then all the scores were totalled together. Basically, there was no reason for it to even be a group project and there was no way to do my partners’ part. I got 100% on my part but ended up with a C. Not Cool.
