GT [$50k] vs UVA [$85k] vs CWRU [$50k] for Biomedical Engineering [pre-med]

The verdict is in… GT.

First, kind of threw out med school aspirations as who knows what the next few years hold. Reality is all schools offer the same general coursework and same general opportunities (i.e. Physics is physics, volunteering is volunteering).

That written, focusing “just” on Biomedical Engineering aspect and total cost to his parents (not sure he’ll thank us yet) he eliminated UVA. $85K+ is just a lot.

Then it came down to GT and CWRU… and he loved them both… but being we’re from near Cleveland Ohio, he decided to try something new, to explore a new region… and then if desired work one’s way back so to speak. i.e. now is the time if want to explore something for four years… so go to it.

Believe his decision had almost nothing to do academically or school spirit or anything like that… had solely to do with proximity and looking to explore something slightly new to him.

Thanks for all the wonderful input!
