Guaranteed admissions to the UC’s *check this Out*

Just wondering who has gotten letter form specific UC's saying that they are guaranteed admission through the ELC program

Im already in at

UC Irvine
UC Santa Barbara

Who else got the letters?

What other UC's do know are going to send us these letters?

it's not guaranteed admission per se, they'll look at your test scores and if they are at a satisfactory level, they won't bother with the rest of your application. Of course, the test score standards are different for each UC.

I got emails from UCI and UCR. UCSB is a risng UC that should be getting more competitive- I'm suprised you got one, good for you.

ya i was suprised when i got one from suprised. I thought uc irvine and uc riverside wheere the onlyones that were going to do that.

I still think UCSB is crap. It smells like crap. All the building need a facelift. My local community college is 10 times nicer. The only thing that was good about UCSB was the beach, but that s all there is. NO big cities around. Plus i don't like wind so the beach setting is not the place for me.

What is the ELC program?

"Eligibility in a Local Context." Students in the top 4% of their high school class in California are ELC. Old rule (2004 admittees and before) was that they would definitely be admitted to one UC regardless of test scores. New rule is that it is not necessarily definite.
