Hmm, the standards seem to be gradually rising for GTs over the years…

Yeah, maybe it’s just me, but it seems like a lot of NY-GT representation here.

Congrats, everyone!

Got an e-mail early this morning from Cornell (finally) with the ApplicantID info! You basically just set up your account, and the website tells you to check back after April 7 for any more updates because their system is too busy right now. It says total processing could take 2-3 weeks. Even though I was a GT candidate, the wording on the website makes my “application” seem like a normal transfer. Anyone else?

This reminds me of a little over a year ago, checking freshman decisions online… can’t stand the anxiety! It is good to finally hear back from Cornell, though.

Ooh that sounds so exciting. I can’t wait to be in your place this time next year diehldun. And congrats at making it through your first year, and i hope you have a blast at Cornell this next year!!!

Whaaaat!! Diehlduh, that’s super exciting. Hopefully I’ll get an email soon…??

yeah…how come haven’t i received an email from cornell yet? i hope i am getting an email too this week. this is starting to get exciting, finally.

diehldun, that’s exactly what I got back in January. Do you notice that to check for application decision online, we actually need another set of username and password?

diehldun, when you were submitting the gt stuff, did you put each document into the envelope and send it in or did you fax them or what did you do? I sent all my stuff seperately by envelope, btw.

I mailed the Cornell GT supplement (and some other optional stuff I enclosed and wanted them to see) in one envelope; I did the same with the spring semester midterm form. I did mail the midterm grades a while ago back in late February, though, which probably is why some of you still haven’t received any e-mails yet.

WTC, I did not notice that. When I click on “check application status”, I get the page that says “…Cornell is currently receiving a very large volume of transfer application materials… please visit this web site again after April 7th for an update. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

grantortue–CONGRATS!!! So, your letter does say GT? Is it a 1-year or 2-year?

diehldun–Thanks for posting about your email from Cornell. Did you get the impression that you’re supposed to get your decision by April 7, or just that the parts of your application will be verified as being received? When you register, do you see a list of application forms, etc. with check marks–that kind of thing?

Just heard from my S that he received an email from Cornell as well. This must be a busy time for them up there, with so many students hearing something from Admissions over the last few days. Ha. Will “report” back more later. I think he may have gotten something similar to diehldun, but I’ll post again and let you know.
