Guaranteed USF Admission

USF recently announced a new partnership agreement with PHCC, HCC, and SPC for guaranteed admission to USF for graduates of the three local community colleges.

Wow. About time. I’m graduating from HCC next year in May so will I seriously be guaranteed at usf for fall 2012 or spring 2013?

Check with your academic advisor at HCC for details about the new consortium agreement for admission into USF, and to be sure you are on right path getting properly prepared for USF. Good Luck!

Hmmm… I don’t know if “guaranteed” is the right word to use, unless it means just that. I’m thinking the partnerships with the other institutions just means that USF admissions will look at student applications from those schools with more primacy? Guaranteed admission doesn’t sound like something a top tier university would ever consider…

@Josh If you’re going to a specific program like nursing you of course won’t be guaranteed as it’s competive and need over a 3.5 to even be considered as a transfer from HCC. But if you’re going into a less competive program you kind of are guaranteed as long as you have a 2.5 GPA. I’m not planning on going to usf though, but if I was planning on nursing or the medical field in general usf would’ve been my top choice as they have an excellent program for that. Their liberal arts programs in general are horrible.

^ USF has some excellent liberal arts fields of study. They may not be the unquestioned absolute best of the best in all of academia, but USF’s liberal arts programs in general are definitely not horrible.
