ESSAYS/RECOMMENDATIONS:
I’m not going to lie, they were mediocre

Guess if I was ACCEPTED W/SCHOLARSHIP, ACCEPTED, WAITLISTED, or REJECTED, and which one I am attending.

depends for mich because if you sent in your app early you get in, but at the deadline, probably not (o the joys of rolling admission). i would say accepted everywhere. scholarships to msu, ohio state, and miami. going to michigan unless $$$ is an issue

I sent in my application in September for Michigan, Michigan State, and Indiana. October for Wisconsin. February for Ohio. Miami FL was EA (sent in September) and Syracuse was RD (sent in October). My UMich GPA was a 3.4.

well if you sent in ohio’s in feb… then it doesnt look like you got into Miami EA at least… or UMICH… cuz you would have heard from them… mayb not even wisc… hmmm i dunno

UMich depends on your high school. If it’s a “good” high school, you didn’t get in. If it’s a school with lots of socio-economic diversity, you got in. Miami depends. Did you do robotics? If so, that’s a maybe. Syracuse is a yes only if you’re a jock. Wisconsin a no. Others, in. BTW, Mich is highly overrated for undergrad, if you actually want to learn something.

I did not do Robotics. I don’t think i’m a jock, although I have played sports my entire life. I played one sport all 4 years and was a captain at the varsity level. My High School sent over 100 students to Michigan this year, so we have lots of socio-economic diversity, it’s a public school.

Accepted:
Michigan
Michigan State w/scholarship
Ohio w/scholarship
Indiana w/scholarship

Rejected:
Wisconsin
Syracuse

Waitlisted:
Miami Fla (EA)

Attending: Miami if you got in off waitlist, otherwise Michigan (because it’s where all your friends are going and you’re into the sports scene). Normally you wouldn’t get into Michigan, but I’m guessing you are planning to play a sport there of some sort–and either way, being captain of your team is key.
