UCLA and Berk have no AA + out of state = reason for rejection/ wl

If I had found your list back in application phase I would have told you to SERIOUSLY eliminate so many safeties and apply to Brown, Dartmouth, and Duke at a minimum not to mention a couple places like Cornell and Northwestern. There is WAY too big a drop between Harvard/ Princeton and your 4th school UVA, with only Penn as a “reach safetynet.”

My guess: you got into Pitt, Michigan, UMD, Miami, Hampton and Howard. Rejected Harvard, Princeton, Berkeley, UCLA. Waitlisted Penn, UNC. How did I do? I guessed mostly based on gpa.

I think you got into UPenn, and are attending there. Rejected from UCB, UCLA, Harvard, UNC, and UVA. You might have gotten into Princeton, so I’ll say waitlist for that. You were accepted at Michigan and Maryland but chose not to attend. You were also accepted at Hampton, Howard, and Miami, all of them offering some form of money in scholarships… However, you chose not to attend there either, as you’d gotten into UPenn!

The main thing that held you back seems to be your GPA. Had it been higher than a 3.5, you would have had much better chances.

I’m surprised you didn’t apply to Penn State as a safety…
