Guy Attending CAP...at UT Austin?

There’s this guy I know that accepted the UT CAP offer at UTSA, but according to him, since he applied to an undeclared major and UTSA doesn’t have that, that they are going to let him take undeclared classes at UT Austin, and if he gets a 3.2 he will stay at UT Austin, and if he doesn’t, he’ll just have to go elsewhere.

Anyone hear of this?

wow, if that’s true, then congratulations, the ultimate way to get into UT Austin without having to get into UT Austin and stay in Austin.

No I have never heard of this and more than likely this guy is full of it.

I also find this pretty hard to believe. It sounds like an urban legend “friend of a friend” story…

I know this is kinda late… but…
I applied undeclared at UT, and got capped. You have to go to another UT school, regardless if you applied undeclared.

This is NOT CAP, but another option to take classes for UT credit is University Extension classes: [The University of Texas at Austin :: University Extension](http://www.utexas.edu/ce/uex/)

Almost anyone can take extension classes, even without having to be admitted to UT. Here is the eligibility criteria: [Policies :: Eligibility :: University Extension, The University of Texas at Austin](http://www.utexas.edu/ce/uex/classroom/policy/eligibility)

No financial aid is available though (unless you are also in at least 6 hrs at UT).
