Guys, give an advice, please, asap!!

Hey guys,
I’m a student from Ukraine and applying to Harvard for EA. I really need your help. The thing is that my SAT scores are quite low(1500-1600). But the SAT 2( german w listening & math 2) are going to be approx. 730-800. I’ve got the strong, unique essays on the commonapp and my extracurriculars are pretty good :
European Youth Parliament member (national sessions)
Swimming (9 years)
Class Prestident for 2 years
National English Olympiad winner (2 times)
World Literature Olympiad winner (2 times)
English Club founder,
School LGBT community founder
I also have 200 hours+ volunteering (I’m helping to collect the humanitarian aid for the soldiers, who are in the anti-terroristic operation in the Eastern part of Ukraine)
In addition, the teachers’ recommendations are 10/10, the GPA is 3.7.

What do I suppose to do?
Should I send the low SAT scores?

I don’t think you’ll realistically get in.

You would need SAT near 2000 to have a chance. I think you should start looking for colleges where your SAT score is in the 50th percentile range, and also pick a major to see which colleges offer it.

And I won’t ask which side you are helping in eastern Ukraine, both sides think the other side are terrorists.

You should expand your college search. You’re not realistic for Harvard, especially EA.

@‌MissDianaKhr - you will have to submit either the SAT, or the ACT with writing. I don’t think it’s worth your time - I have to agree with the others that you don’t have a realistic chance of acceptance. The lowest self-reported SAT score in the class of 2018 freshman survey was 1732 and there were only 10 under 1900 (see <a href=“The Harvard Crimson | Class of 2018 By the Numbers”>http://features.thecrimson.com/2014/freshman-survey/admissions/</a>). I suspect most if not all of those 10 were top athletes or had some other major hook. This is not a complete picture of the freshman class (I believe about 70% of freshman replied) but it gives you an idea of the minimum level of qualification required.

In general, as an international, it’s even tougher to get accepted than it is for US citizens and residents. In the 2013-2014 academic year, out of 6000+ students, Harvard College had 1 student from Ukraine and 3 from Russia.

Thanks so much guys for your answers:)
Will I boost my chances by taking the TOEFL test and by writing an additional essay on commonapp?

^^ Unfortunately, no it won’t really make a difference at all.

You need to retake the sat. Below 1900-2000 means your chance is close to 0.

I’m also an international from an underrepresented country with quite odd SAT scores. 2100 with 760 in CR, 570 in M and 770 in W. 44 IB predicted. Does my low math score screw me over?

You’ll have a tough time with the Math score. To be honest, it may right out disqualify you. But work hard and study to get it up!! It’s ALWAYS possible, especially with your high W and CR scores.
