I’m a girl and I’ve had 4 girl roommates, and 3 out of 4 of them left a bad experience.

Freshman roommate: Crazy *****, she was way too emotional (she once cried doing her math homework), frequently sexiled me.

The hey I think we’re gonna be great friends and then by the end of the year imma kill you girl: We really hit it off as friends at first, however her personality is pretty bad. Extremely bossy, one of the worse *****es I’ve ever met, she always points out people’s mistakes and then laughs, and she PMSes all the time.

The slob: She doesn’t clean up after herself but I really don’t mind she seems like a nice girl.

Ah the perfect roommate, really sweet girl, we have a lot in common and we share similar traits (ie no ***** fits). Likes to be unique, etc. I don’t think there is anything she does that anyone would have problems with

Idk what it is about some girls, but I think in general they cause more conflicts then guys. okay before you start flaming me, I’m a girl too but then again I grew up with a house full of older brothers so being a ***** would be a surefire way to get your ass kicked.

I know it all depends on who you live with because I genuinely think most people would want to live with girls such as number 4 or even myself.

But in your experience do you think its easier to live with girls or guys?

I don’t know that there’s really a difference, but from what I’ve seen guys have it easier in dealing with terrible roommates. I know a few guys who really don’t like their roomies, and they deal with it by simply spending no time in their room except to sleep. I’ve met very few girls who would even be willing to do that, much less happy about it.

Guys are more troublesome. Ridiculously smelly, no manners at all, simply cannot keep their hands off of your stuff, will randomly toss your stuff out of the room, destroy it, give it to their friends, that stuff usually costing anywhere from $100 to $500 and usually takes around a few weeks to replace/clean up after.

Guys, without a doubt, are worse to live with. I grew up with six sisters (shared a room with a twin) and their nonsense is nowhere near as infuriating as the crap that lazy ass middle class teenage guys are who don’t have mommy and the maid following their ass with a vacuum cleaner. I used to want a double, but after some months of living with NYU guys on and off - mind you, NYU guys - I now want a single when I go to school. Boot camp was the ****ing Four Seasons compared to the rooms I have stayed in. I want to be as proud of how I take care of my dorm room as I was taking care of my rack and my squad bay.
