Any advice on what factors helped you get admitted at GW? What ECs are they looking for? What summer internships should we target? Interested in majoring in Biology.
Your ECs and summer activities should be things the student is interested in doing…not things you think will impress an adcom at some college. Do things that are of interest to you!
A summer job is a valuable thing to do in the summers.
Get the best GPA possible. Become involved in things that interest you.
Make sure GW (I’m assuming you mean George Washington University) is affordable. It is one of THE most costly colleges in the country.
Adding to what @thumper1 noted - GW considers demonstrated interest so visit or attend online sessions, open their emails, play videos even if u don’t watch.
And 46% submitted a test so a good test score can help you too.
Every student should follow her advice: “Do things that are of interest to you!“
Agree. Colleges (including GW) look to create a well rounded class – this will include some individuals who are well-rounded and others who have specific interests in many different areas. The best advice is to do the things that interest you and let your passion shine through.
Also agree that studying for standardized tests would be a good use of time.
Thank you all for your useful advice. Not sure I posted in the right place, I am new here…but was wondering why there are only very few responses to my question. Should I post somewhere else? Now is the time for the GW ED1 results. So I was hoping to hear more…Thanks again
I don’t think there is much different advice additional replies can offer. But others may chime in later.
