They usually release at 5 pm and will send an email at 445 telling to check our portal in 15 minutes…i’m not sure we’ll be getting at email tomorrow due to the fact that they announced it on their instagram.
They did say to look out for emails for the announcement that it’s out, so I’m guessing they will let us know 15 mins before.
Has anyone’s checklist disappeared on their portal? Because mine has not but a friend of mine said their portal is completely blank.
wait what account did they post this on??
@1000pkv it’s posted on their admissions insta @/gwadmissions

Just checked, checklist is still on my portal. Good luck!
Were any of you aware that GWU does not have a dining hall?
@Sarrip Yep! But i think there is one on the mount vernon campus
@Sarrip Yep! I only toured Foggy Bottom and they led us to a food court where all the shops accept dining dollars. So do other restaurants around campus. Their Mt. Vernon campus though offers traditional dining options. A lot of freshmen live at Vernon.
@user2545 @wanglou Thanks. I was watching some youtube videos on GWU. This is one of the few schools that we did not get to visit because it was added at the last minute.
Decision Day! Good Luck Everyone!
Do we think they’ll come out at 4 or 5?
Wait so if there is no dining hall, how does dining work?
From what I have seen from a few youtube videos they give you an allotment per semester and you can use it at local restaurants and stores. It appears that many students run out pretty quickly if they do not budget them.
@cannolicannoli 5 ET
Yes, apparently there are tons of local restaurants that partner with the school to give GW students credit at those restaurants, but, also, from watching many youtube videos of the dorms, it seems like there are kitchens in lots of the dorms, so I’m sure it’s always an option to eat food in the dorm.
@Sarrip Hi! I am a current GWU first year, and although our dining is considered “nontraditional,” it works great for the type of campus we have! We are allotted money per semester to use at different food vendors across not only campus, but DC too. There are also many dorms that have kitchens in their room, so if that is your vibe, go for it! Whole Foods and Safeway are both vendors on our dining plan, so you are able to buy groceries. This system works great because you are able to either prepare a meal if you have time, or grab a quick lunch. The food vendors include Chick-fil-a, Chipotle, Sweetgreen, and lots of others.There are also nice sit down restaurants too. A new trend has started on campus where students will post pictures of their food online with the hashtag “#yourmealplancould never” because truly it is an awesome dining opportunity. ALSO we have a dining hall on the vern campus which is a quick 10 minute free-bus shuttle away.
If anyone has any questions about GW, please let me know!! I understand many of you are unable to tour due to COVID-19, so feel free to ask me any questions you have and I will give you an honest answer.
@Spkrstudent1234 - Thank You for the info because after discussing with DD and watching some of the videos I began having reservations.
