@Topcat123 @2020hanamaki @alliwon Don’t freak out about transcripts. Since the office is closed, they most likely haven’t updated portals. The deadline for transcripts and other non-student uploaded things is always after the student deadline since counselors and recommenders have lots of students to take care of. If it doesn’t show up by Feb, then there’s a problem.
@irzk02 @2020hanamaki @alliwon Thanks for sharing your information. My daughter had to leave today for an all day EC and won’t get home until 7:30 tonight and she was freaking out when she left. I just texted her and let her know others are experiencing the same thing. Thank you for your quick responses and hopefully she will have a chance to see my message soon and be able to relax a little. You’ve all be so helpful!
@Topcat123 No problem! My counselor uploaded my stuff like a month before I submitted and I was still freaking out when I got the portal. It updated with the info like a week after I submitted in early October.

@2020hanamaki Has your portal updated yet? My DD’s still shows she is missing everything Naviance says has been downloaded. She emailed admissions a week ago and they said it can take 7-10 days but still hasn’t changed.

Did everyone get the email asking if you are interested in Mount Vernon or Cisneros? Assuming so but just curious. Also it said decisions come out ”late March”. Anyone have knowledge about or experience with Mount Vernon campus?
@BrielleNJ I got the same email. For the MVC, about a quarter of freshmen live on the Vern and all university writing seminars are held there. It’s where the freshmen LLCs are hosted as well. It’s essentially like a mini-campus with the stereotypical “quad” and campus feel.

Hi, kind of a random question but what is the prevalence of greek life on campus? I was never really interested in joining a sorority but have seen a lot of GW people join one and so I’m worried I’ll have to do it to make friends.

@cannolicannoli This is from my friend who’s a freshman, but she says that greek life is a pretty minor part of GW life and there’s not really any pressure to join. You should have no problem making friends without greek life.
