Hi,
So I’m an incoming H.S. freshmen and I have a huge dilemma on my hands; I can’t decide on which H.S. would help my chances of getting into Harvard. I’m trying to choose between Stuyvesant H.S. in NYC, or the school I’m currently at, which is a really good school (but not better that Stuy, and waaaay smaller).
I also want advice on what AP courses to take throughout high school which would look good on a Harvard app (or any college app for that matter), cause if it was up to me, I would probably take every single course provided (I seriously love anything to do with science, math, art, tech, lit, history, and basically anything) xD
I currently have a 4.0 gpa, but I’m not taking many ECs (other than Mock Trial and Debate) but I’ll definitely be taking loads more next year. I’m not currently taking many ECs because I just moved to the U.S. from Jordan in the Middle East, and I’ve been trying to adapt to life here in general.
I’m also fluent in Arabic, and I’m taking French as my 2nd language.
I’m not very good at any sports, and I know ivies are big on sports. However I do cheerleading, but I’m not sure if that would be considered a sport ![]()
Any advice would help! Sorry if this was super long/un-organized; its my first post on CC!
Thanks in Advance!!
