Hackley or no Hackley? Plus applying as a junior!

I mean, Hackley is a great school and all, but in terms of HADES, and GLADCHEMS or whatnot, it seems rather inferior… It’s sad yes, I really like the school but when I do plan on applying (which is September 2012) should I consider it a safety amongst all the other statistically superior schools? Personally, the 5 day boarding is super convenient for me, but I heard the boarding community is pretty small, and so is their Ivy League acceptance rate. So what do u think? Apply or not? Also, does Lawrenceville/Peddie do 5-day boarding? And applying as a junior to HADES and GLADCHEMS, and considering their acceptance rate for those years, will that totally destroy my chances? I mean, Andover accepted only 19 people last year for junior year, and that’s out of like 70/80 people applying. Others probably have hooks, and stuff, but being an international applicant, won’t it totally destroy my chances applying to the schools? They have super small acceptance rates and that’s NOT GOOD. SPS only admitted 5 people for Junior year! I need some advice… Should I consider applying for sophomore? (I don’t want to do that in the first place, as in the UK, where I’m from I’ll be leaving in the middle of my GCSEs, which is basically like leaving right in the middle of Senior year before the SAT) So, dilemma or what?

Lville doesn’t do 5-day boarding, but you could go home very weekend if you really wanted to. The only problem with that is that you would have a very inferior social life compared with the regular boarders. Applying as a junior wouldn’t necessarily hurt your chances, but neither would applying as a sophomore. Good luck!
