wow, congrats!

Congrats!!!

You do live in Chicago…I mean, that Fed-ex must have taken, I dont know, 25 minutes to deliver? Haha…congrats again!

Would you mind posting your stats and which school/major you applied to? (Or a link to a thread with this information?)

Wow! Congrats! :)

Obviously, being from NYC, I didn’t get anything =)

We live in Chicago. Nothing from Northwestern in today’s mail.

where do you live?

It says Chicago in her profile.

i actually live in the suburbs, but my town’s post office is amazing. i don’t think i’ve ever lost a letter in the mail… i can’t say the same about my school’s post office (which loses everything i send out, including transcrpits)

my stats are not amazing or anything, but i’m a really down-to-earth person, so i think my interview went really well.

SAT I: 1460 (pefect math, but i’m really weak with verbal, im bilingual)

ACT: 32 (perfect math again)

SAT II: 780 math 2c, 690 bio, 670 writing (really weak SAT IIs, i should have studied)

GPA: n/a at my school (imsa); i’ve had 2 b+ in high school … all classes at my high school are considered honors

cheerleading and soccer… researched in the neuroscience department at Northwestern University… HSSP… miss teen of il 1st runner up… miss teen il usa 2005 interview award… and some other ecs…

i have a pretty unique background… born in vietnam, left when i was baby, lived in a refugee camp for 2 years before coming to america… and some pretty good essays… good recs…

hopefully u guys will be receiving a big envelope soon. =)

^ Wow! You have really overcome a lot of obstacles in your life (Not to mention as an asian, you had the guts to enter pageants). Your application must have shined! Congratulations.

I also got my letter… and I live in Chicago also… not in. It’s kind of lame because it breaks my perfect acceptance record but I’ll live, it wasn’t really one of my top choices any way. Congrats to all accepted!
Edit:
My stats were 1470… 3.9 GPA (top 5%… came up short on a few grades… maybe too many Bs… who knows)
My essays probably weren’t that great… Northwestern was not my admissions focus… but again CONGRATS TO ALL ACCEPTED!

^ It’s okay. You will live, definitely.

Since you are from Chicago did you apply for the UIC GPPA program ?

yea i did, but i didn’t get the second interview… there were like 18 people from my school who were with me at the first interview, and i think 6-7 of them got in (i’m assuming since they got the second interview)… my first interview didn’t go so well… i think i may have offended one of my interviewers… and my essay was not good…

congrats! when was the letter postmarked?

congraaats!

thanks .

yesterday, March 25.

^ This is the time someone said an admissions representative told him (or her) that they were sending out letters on this date as well.

It might have been me. He said that they’d probably send them out during the last week of March, and I guessed that it would be yesterday or today.

yeah, i got my letter in the mail. rejected. i posted my stats in the Official Decisions Roster thread.

This is when living in rural south Texas becomes a distinct disadvantage. :(
