<p>While local heroes Boeing and Microsoft have both been convicted of various business abuses and cheating the government on contracts there has been no such action against H. They are and have negotiated DOD contract payments to satisfactory conclusions for both sides.</p>
<p>It’s a GREAT move. With the U.S. cutting and running from Anbar Province (and less violence as a result), and the British and other Coalition forces cutting and running from Basra province (with the pro-Iranian Badr brigades now firmly in control, and less violence as a result), the future lies in doing business with non-U.S. entities. Being positioned outside the sphere of the hostile, aggressive occupier will pave the way for future business.</p>
<p>Its called free enterprise folks. They are doing nothing illegal and a few billion dollars are merely being transferred from our treasury to Halliburton shareholders. Many other corporations have done the same thing including Black and Decker as I recall.</p>
