Hamilton the musical

I love that @Testingearly!!!

New block of tickets on sale for Hamilton NYC November through March 2018 on ticketmaster.

I’m going, I’m going, I’m going!!! I’m so excited! My daughter snagged two orchestra seats for December. She’s already seen it once - we were both trying this morning but she managed to get them. This is the best! I simply cannot wait.

Happy casting news for Hamilton NY! Brian D’arcy James will be returning to Hamilton as King George for a limited run starting in mid April. He originated the role off Broadway and left to take the lead in Something Rotten (which I saw and he was great). I imagine it will be fun for him to play the role on Broadway.

Cool!

Hamilton is one of the shows that has the highest prices and the fans are still buying them. What i feel is that there is always a way to get best prices and i was successful in doing so last year. Enjoyed the show on 10% discount tickets. That was really fun. :)>-

“You’ll Be Back”, was written in 2010 on Miranda’s honeymoon,he did not have a piano at that time and wrote it without it. :-*

just saw Hamilton in chicago. I didnt want it to end. Liked the kid who played Thomas Jefferson. And kid he is – he’s a junior in college - at Belmont College. What a huge opportunity for him to be doing this!!! It was Wayne Brady’s last weekend. The crowd was really into it, singing along at points, cheering, and laughing at all the innuendos. DD got some pix with cast afterwards at their alley exit and was so pumped. Great evening.

That’s unfortunate.

Agreed. I’d hate to spend all that money and finally get to see it and have the audience think it was okay to participate.

^^ the sing-a-long- it’s in one section where king george says - “sing along with me” – and that was it. surprised me too, but after listening to the song again at home i get now why people sang. The audience was so ready for it.

If you mean the ‘everybody’ in the Dat da dah chorus, that’s fine and is only a few seconds but any other singing along at a show is inappropriate.

Tickets went on sale for LA less than an hour ago…and I got in! Yay!

Today is my birthday. DH surprised me with Hamilton tickets. We go tomorrow. Chicago here we come!!!

What a great birthday surprise, @UCMom19 ! D & I go one month from today to celebrate our 60/30 birthdays (mine in April; hers in June). We’ve had our tickets since early September, so we’ve had to “wait for it.” Have a wonderful trip!

The school where I teach was chosen for EduHam so all of my students can see it for free, but only 35 out of 125 have brought back the slips due today… come on people!!! The fewer students who go, the fewer teachers get to chaperone :frowning:

@rebeccar I think this calls for some creative teacher incentivizing on those permission slip returns.

Tonight!!!

DD and I were thrilled with the production in Chicago – I had already memorized the soundtrack before we went, but D had no idea what to expect. We were both really geeked out by the performance! Like @bgbg4us, we didn’t want it to end. I’m only sorry that I don’t have it to look forward to any more.
