Hanukkah / Kosher mail order?

** Any recommendations for good mail order for Hanukkah and/or Kosher food websites ? **

My husband has a widowed uncle who is Jewish. Last year we tried unsuccessfully to find a website with mail order items we could send for Hanukkah.

Luckily we found a wonder supermarket / restaurant combo in Denver. That allowed us to get lots of interesting kosher (and also needed to be diabetic diet) food. We wrapped up for 8 little gifts. He really loved it, especially the dried soup mixes. I see that Huannkkah is early this year, so we probably won’t have time to do the Denver outing.

I have used Challah Connection. My parents love their rugelach.

Try Zabars and 2nd Avenue Deli (sort of the original) for kosher mail order.

I would also try calling a Chabad or a local conservative or orthodox synagogue for some recommendations. The above suggestions are good ones.

Check this out: mostly soup and a few other items, but really yummy. It was recommended by Jewish CC posters who also vouch for the quality.

Here you go: [Gift Baskets](Sites-Zabars-Site)

Was recommended to me by CC. Good stuff.

And here is another mail order site endorsed by CCers:

Thanks for all of the good links! I like the basket idea, but they seem to have diabetes- forbidden foods. I’m having fun looking at all the choices.

Also try [Jewish Source - The Source for Everything Jewish](http://www.jewishsource.com). There may be some non-food items that would be appropriate as well.

Wayne’s Market [Specialty Gift Baskets - Gift Baskets - Call for Pricing](http://www.waynesmarket.com) has been making my gift baskets for years. They do kosher baskets and can make any basket suitable for diabetics.
