I’d like to say thanks to all the dads here (on all the various CC forums) who contribute their perspective on the college planning process their children are going through. <p>I drove 1050 miles to spend 3 hours with mine. (26.5 hours including the visit. Door to door. Total. ;)) It was worth every mile, but I’ll feel it tommorrow.</p>

My son and daughter (and her boyfriend) are here for the weekend and we made a great breakfast for our favorite dad. I was impressed with their thoughtful gifts. My DD gave him the DVD of Planet Earth, which is an amazing work, and my DS enlarged and framed a beautiful photo he had taken this spring when he and my husband made their annual Grand Canyon trek.
The World’s Best Dad is spending the day catching up on his reading in the patio, where we are enjoying a 75degree afternoon. It doesn’t get better than this.</p>
